our story

it all started from a cheesecake

It started by accident with a simple slice of cheesecake in a Berlin cafe back in 2015. That one bite started a love story lasting to this day. For a long time after, I was using the cheap, pale, bitter stuff you find everywhere, whether I was making my own cheesecakes at home or just drinking it.

The turning point was a trip to Kyoto to meet my wife’s relatives. They knew about my "matcha madness" and introduced me to real Uji matcha. That was the moment I realised what quality actually tastes like. Now, it’s my turn to save you from that bitter, pale powder and share the vibrant, tasty matcha sourced direct from Japan.
